Kvalhovden is a mountain just north of Kvalvågen on the western shores of Storfjorden. The coastal cliffs expose palaeolandslide blocks and related slope failure features that disturb a succession of paralic sediments (Onderdonk and Midtkandal, 2010). The Carolinefjellet, Helvetiafjellet, and Rurikfjellet Formations are exposed.
